Thanks Jonathan and Crissi for all the hard work you do all year to make this event happen. I&#8217;d also like to thank all of the staff that assists with this event. Finally, I&#8217;d like to thank all that support and attend this local event.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ubuntupennsylvania.org\/\" data-blogger-escaped-target=\"_blank\">Ubuntu Local Community Team<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0always sponsors an\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ubuntuforums.org\/showthread.php?t=2154886&amp;p=12693454#post12693454\" data-blogger-escaped-target=\"_blank\">Installfest<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0at Fosscon. This year, we had an open Installfest. Any\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/distrowatch.com\/dwres.php?resource=major\" data-blogger-escaped-target=\"_blank\">distro<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0that wanted, could represent themselves and be part of the Installfest.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/fedoraproject.org\/\" data-blogger-escaped-target=\"_blank\">Fedora<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0stepped up to that challenge. Ben and his wife drove all the way from North Carolina to represent Fedora. They are wonderful people and wonderful advocates. It was a pleasure working with them.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Installfest yielded 2 new installs and 1 issue resolution (performed by the Fedora Team). The 2 new installs came via\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ntrweb.org\/\" data-blogger-escaped-target=\"_blank\">NTR<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Many Ubuntu-US-PA members, alumni and friends were among the attendees at Fosscon. Some were speakers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Alumna Elizabeth Joseph was a\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/fosscon.org\/archives\/832\" data-blogger-escaped-target=\"_blank\">speaker<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Member Brent Saner was a\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/fosscon.org\/archives\/791\" data-blogger-escaped-target=\"_blank\">speaker<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Friend\/Member by default, Walt Mankowski was a\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/fosscon.org\/archives\/809\" data-blogger-escaped-target=\"_blank\">speaker<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/fosscon.org\/exhibits\" data-blogger-escaped-target=\"_blank\">Exhibitors<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0and\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/fosscon.org\/sponsors\" data-blogger-escaped-target=\"_blank\">Sponsors<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0entertained and informed all.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Even Sunday, the day after Fosscon, some met at\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hive76.org\/\">Hive76<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0for an impromptu Hackfest.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.phreewifi.org\/\">Project.Phree<\/a>,\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/point.io\/\">point.io<\/a>, and\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ecere.com\/\" data-blogger-escaped-target=\"_blank\">Ecere<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0were represented at the Hackfest on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Each year gets bigger and better.
