\u00c2\u00a0I’ve decided to limit my presence at NTR. \u00c2\u00a0Instead of going there up to
\n3 times a months I’m dropping it down to once a month – only during the
\nBring a Computer Workshop. \u00c2\u00a0There’s not much to do with the NTR Linux
\nLaptop project anymore. \u00c2\u00a0We’ve finished all the laptops that are capable
\nof accepting DSL. \u00c2\u00a0Now they just need to be sold. \u00c2\u00a0Last I checked there
\nare 2 in the store and 10 in the warehouse. \u00c2\u00a0So before or during the
\nWorkshop, we can attempt to do the following:
\n1) enter products into database
\n2) check inventories
\n3) make sure ‘for sale’ laptops are setup and demonstrating correctly<\/p>\n

The Bring a Computer Workshop is a great way to interface directly with
\nthe people that we think need our help the most. \u00c2\u00a0So far, almost every
\ntime I’ve gone to one I’ve installed Ubuntu onto a PC. \u00c2\u00a0Either as a dual
\nboot (Win + Ubuntu) or just straight Ubuntu. \u00c2\u00a0I don’t force it either
\n(: \u00c2\u00a0I give an honest effort to help with their Windows problem but there
\nare many times when a fast 1\/2 hour Ubuntu install just gives them what
\nthey want: a functional PC. \u00c2\u00a0The only way it works is if they truly
\nunderstand what you’re giving them AND you understand what they need.
\nIf they can only use AOL or Netzero dialup or NEED MS Word for
\nwork\/school, then you know the responsible thing to do.<\/p>\n
